Making close up exposures using a 5×4 camera is challenging I find.
In this photograph of the eye of a needle, I used the standard 150mm lens with the bellows extended all the way to 300mm.
I chose Ilford FP4 film and already knew that I was going to develop it in Pyrocat HD mainly because its becoming my favourite developer.
The dilution of the Pyrocat HD was 1+1+100 and it was suggested that the time should be 11 minutes at 20 degrees centigrade.
The exposure time was down at 1/2 second at my chosen aperture and due to bellows extension, this took me into reciprocity of 13 seconds according to the app I use.
